In the latest from Griffin ("Tracers" series), lawyer Ava Burch and her search-and-rescue dog Huck show up late to look for a missing toddler in the Texan wilderness near Big Bend National Park. Assigned to a remote segment, Ava encounters a dusty old tent, but this strange discovery falls by the wayside when Ava and Huck later find the missing child. When Ava finally gets detective Grant Wycoff to come look at the scene with her, the tent is gone, but Grant believes it could be linked to a climber who disappeared in the area two years earlier.
