PreS-Gr 1--Peppa and George are stuck inside on a gloomy rainy day. They are disappointed they have to play inside, but Daddy has an idea. He makes up a game of hide and seek with a rubber duck. Peppa and George must search around the house to find the duck. When the game is not as easy as they thought it would be, Peppa and George have a great time solving it together. Mommy and Daddy Pig take turns hiding the duck, until the rain stops and the sun comes out. The whole family runs outside to jump and play in muddy puddles. Peppa and her family never disappoint in fun, family-centered stories. Preschool to early elementary readers will love making a connection between the television show and the book. Bright colors in the full-page illustrations enhance the engaging story of what to do on a rainy day. Back matter includes instructions on how to play the rainy day game at home; readers will love this chance to be just like Peppa and George. VERDICT A fun adventure, this book is a wonderful addition to any preschool or elementary school collection.--Elizabeth Libberton
